Our Snack Factory Tours are given, Monday – Wednesday, between 9:30am and 3:30pm and are limited to 15 people per tour.
Things you should know prior to your tour:
For capacity and safety reasons, tickets MUST be purchased in advance to assure tour groups remain within the 15-person limit. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 800-284-7488.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- How will we know if snacks will be produced during our tour?
We are a live manufacturing facility and tours may be affected by our production schedule. Production times can change at any time without notice. Areas that are not producing will be shown by video in that part of the tour.
- How long is the tour?
Your tour will take up to 1 – 1.5 hours depending on the manufacturing schedule and if there are questions. We love questions!
- What should we wear for the tour?
Closed-toed, rubber-soled shoes are recommended. This is a walking tour. There are no seating areas along the tour route. During your tour you will walk between three different buildings. Please feel free to bring along rain gear. Walkers and canes are allowed but are not recommended for factory tours. Herr’s can provide wheelchairs in these cases on a first come first served basis.
- Do we still provide tours in inclement weather?
Tours will proceed rain or shine. In the event of thunderstorms or severe weather, tours may be interrupted.
- Where do I check in and receive my tickets?
You can check in and receive your tickets at the front desk with the name on your booking. We recommend checking in 10 minutes prior to allow time to use our restrooms in the lobby. There are no restrooms on the tour route.
- What do I do if I’m running late?
Arriving late may cause you to miss your tour. Please give us a call at 1-800-284-7488 and we may be able to catch you up to your tour or move your booking to a later tour based on availability.
- Can I reschedule or get a refund?
We understand that things come up. If you need to reschedule, please call 1-800-284-7488. Same day rescheduling must be done before the time of your tour. Tickets are non-refundable once purchased. If you purchased Peek Protect with your tour, you can request a refund up to 24hrs prior through your Peek Protect receipt email. We cannot offer refunds in person or by phone.
- Someone in my group is not feeling well. Should they come on tour?
If someone in your group is experiencing COVID symptoms or is not feeling well, please do not visit or tour the Herr’s facilities. To reschedule, please call 1-800-284-7488. Same day rescheduling must be done before the time of your tour. Refunds are only given by purchasing Peek Protect and requesting through your Peek Protect receipt email up to 24hrs prior.
- Can we take pictures on the tour?
For the privacy of our employees and the safety of others, the use of cameras and cell phones are not permitted on the tour. You are welcome to take as many photos as you like in the Visitor Center lobby and gift shop.
- Do you allow tobacco usage?
We are a tobacco free campus. For the health and safety of our employees, products, and visitors: smoking, vaping and other tobacco usage is NOT permitted on campus.
- Is the Visitor Center and the tour accessible?
There is handicap parking located at the front of the Visitor Center on a first-come, first-served basis as well as a drop-off location at the front entrance. Our tour is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Wheelchairs may be provided at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. These must be operated by someone in your group as tour staff are unable to do so.

- Can I bring my pet on the tour?
Herr Foods Inc. is a facility that produces and sells food products. Therefore, pets are NOT ALLOWED in the factory or in the visitor center. Service animals are permitted provided that they are properly restrained and do not pose a threat to guests, employees, or our food products.
